Switzerland has developed into the safest country in the world for purchasing physical gold, insuring the gold against theft by storage in highly secured vaults. If a resident of Japan purchases physical gold in Switzerland (that is, outside of Japan) using a Gold Debit, neither Japanese nor Swiss consumption tax is levied.
